Νησιώτικη πέρδικα

Compared to the Mountain Partridge, the Chuckar Partridge is heavier, with fewer stripes on its sides and is a greyish colour on the underside of the throat, which becomes thinner from the eyes to the beak. The other difference is that there is no bridle mark, its song resembles the squawk of a chicken, rather than the Rock Partridge’s and it lives at a lower altitude. An indigineous bird, rarely seen in the wild, the Chuckar Partridge is found in Thrace and the Aegean Islands.
