The Rock Pigeon is 33cm in length and is predecessor to the domestic pigeon, which it resembles, but it has a longer beak and thinner body, without white or motley wings. Two black streaks on its wings can be seen from a distance and the under wing is white. An indigenous species, it is found in small flocks in rocky regions with caves and ravines.
