The Fieldfare is 25cm long and is a large Thrush with a grey head, brown back and black tail. In flight it resembles the Mistle Thrush. It is found in small flocks and sings in flight. It is a migratory bird which breeds in Northern Europe and comes to Greece in the autumn to overwinter, although pairs of Fieldfares rarely nest in Greece.
