The Red fox is 60-95cm in length, its tail is 35-40cm and it weighs 7-10kg. Its body is long and it has a long nose, triangular upright ears and short thin legs. Its tail is long and fluffy and its coat is soft and thick. The upper part of the body is reddish brown or grayish brown and its underside is grayish white, but it is black behind the ears, the pads of its feet and on the front part of the legs. The tip of the tail is white and the nose black. The Red fox is found all over mainland Greece and the islands excluding Crete.
